Free Web site Allows Scleroderma Patients to Communicate with Friends, Family

The Scleroderma Foundation is proud to announce it has partnered with CarePages, a free Web service, that allows scleroderma patients and their families to communicate with friends when a loved one is receiving care. By registering on CarePages, families can create a virtual meeting space on the Web, share news and photos as often as needed, and receive emotional support during a time of need.

When a loved one is hospitalized or receiving care, it can be difficult to communicate. CarePages allows communications to be shared via email and visitors may leave messages for the patient on the Web page.

The Foundation neither divulges nor provides any patient information for the purposes of this service.

CarePages has more than one million registered users, and is offered by more than 500 organizations, including hospitals, support groups, research organizations and nursing homes. Among the organizations that use CarePages include the American Cancer Society, all top 10 Children’s Hospitals and the National Institutes of Health.
