Education Programs

The Pacific Northwest chapter offers scleroderma education programs locally with leading experts in the field to help individuals understand their disease, cope with the challenges of their symptoms, and find their best path forward. Our chapter also helps to identify local resources that are available to individuals affected by scleroderma through public and private entities.

In the fall of 2023, we held a virtual patient education day with Dr. Mark Wener of the University of Washington Medicine Scleroderma Clinic, and Dr. Christian Lood of the University of Washington, Division of Rheumatology, on sessions around CAR-T Cell & New Therapies and Mitochondrial Calcification As A Novel Mechanism in Calcinosis Pathogenesis.

Go to school at the Foundation’s YouTube Channel. There are a variety of topics and videos which make understanding scleroderma easier!
