2019

October 1, 2019

The Washington Evergreen Chapter is excited to announce that we are officially welcoming the state of Idaho and the Southern Idaho Support Group into our chapter!  After more than a year of discussing the possibility with the support group leaders in Idaho our chapter brought the proposal to the national board of directors, and in early September they unanimously passed the inclusion of Idaho into our chapter.

On Thursday September 26th the Washington Evergreen chapter board of directors voted to change our name to the Northwest Chapter and also unanimously appointed Dee Burlile of Idaho to the chapter board of directors.

The board is very excited to be bringing the scleroderma community of Idaho into our chapter!

We look forward to the opportunity to support the already excellent Idaho Patient Education Conference planned for November 16th in Boise.

Dee Burlile and the Southern Idaho Support group received the 2019 National Outstanding Educational Program award for the Conference they put on last year.

As we start this transition and continue to grow we welcome your ideas and suggestions of ways to better serve the scleroderma community.  We hope this expansion will give us opportunities to provide more support to patients, increase awareness across our region and raise more money for research that will bring us closer to finding a cure.

Thank you for being part of our community!

Sincerely,

Jeremy Harrison-Smith
