Advocacy in Action

Empowering Our Community to Call for Change

The National Scleroderma Foundation is the nation’s leading patient advocacy organization for people living with scleroderma. We believe in the strength of our community, and we know that we can make an even bigger difference when we work together and speak with one voice.

There are a number of ways you can become an advocate with the National Scleroderma Foundation:

  • Work with local and state officials to request proclamations recognizing Scleroderma Awareness Month and World Scleroderma Day.
  • Work with government agencies and local landmarks to secure teal light-ups that can raise awareness during Scleroderma Awareness Month.
  • Answer the call of Foundation Action Alerts to send messages to national legislators about important legislative and budgetary issues.
  • Join the Foundation’s Hill Days and Virtual Hill Days and meet with legislative staffs to directly advocate for support for our key legislative priorities.
