About Ashley Barron
Ashley Barron is a country music artist who embraces the independent and powerful country woman aura in her writing and music. Influenced by country greats such as Johnny Cash and modern stars like Miranda Lambert, she now incorporates her life experiences and stories into her writing to create passionate, home-grown, and relatable music.
Before becoming a country rock star, Ashley found her passion for music while singing in her room, participating in music lessons and the high school choir. Over the last few years, Ashley gained the courage to love herself when it came to performing. With a full support system behind her, Ashley’s passion for music grew, and she declined an invitation to University of Arizona and chose to go full force into her music career—recording and performing wherever and whenever she could.
Ashley’s Journey with Scleroderma
Barron was diagnosed with scleroderma at age five. At that time, her family had never heard of the disease. Now as Celebrity Ambassador, Barron is working to represent the organization and increase awareness and understanding of scleroderma as she travels the country for performances. Tragically, Ashley lost her mother, Carol Lee Barron, to scleroderma in October 2020. Her mother’s diagnosis of systemic sclerosis occurred only four months before her death.
“I am so honored to have the opportunity to work alongside the National Scleroderma Foundation to bring awareness to this disease,” says Barron. “I never thought when I was diagnosed at 5 years old, that I’d one day get the opportunity to bring support and community to others that I did not have. I’m very excited for the future and what is to come.”
Ashley’s Mission
Ashley’s mission is to shine a spotlight on scleroderma and help those living with the condition feel seen and heard. Through her music and advocacy work, she aims to inspire hope and drive research and support initiatives for the scleroderma community.
