Heidi Jacobe, MD, MSCS, will serve as chair of the Department of Dermatology at Duke Health beginning in December.
Dr. Jacobe is a member of the National Scleroderma Foundation’s Medical & Scientific Advisory Board and is a frequent presenter at the National Scleroderma Conference.
Jacobe is a leader in the field of scleroderma research. Her studies focuses on sclerosing skin diseases, with an emphasis on disease outcomes, biomarkers, and clinical trials. Her research seeks to improve disease measurement, understand disease heterogeneity, and advance evidence‑based care for patients with complex inflammatory and fibrosing skin disorders.
