The National Scleroderma Foundation, the leading patient advocacy organization serving people living with scleroderma in the United States, announced today that it will host the 2026 National Scleroderma Conference in Baltimore, Maryland.
“On behalf of the Mid-Atlantic Chapter, I am honored and excited to welcome the 2026 National Scleroderma Conference to Baltimore. Having this vibrant and historic city in our chapter’s region makes this event especially meaningful,” JoAnne LaPergola, Executive Director of the Mid-Atlantic Chapter said. “We can’t wait for attendees from across the country to experience all that Charm City has to offer and to join us for an unforgettable celebration of our scleroderma community.”
The National Scleroderma Conference is the largest gathering for the scleroderma community. Attendees have an opportunity to hear from the leading researchers and healthcare providers in the field. Sessions explore diagnosis, symptom monitoring, treatments and the latest in research.
“The National Scleroderma Foundation’s exists to ensure that people living with scleroderma have the resources, support, and knowledge they need, no matter where they live in the country,” Mary J. Wheatley, CEO of the National Scleroderma Foundation said. “Our annual conference is all about providing one location for the entire scleroderma community to gather, share, and learn from one another.”
Conference attendees also find support through talking with others who share similar experiences and making new, long-lasting friendships. The conference helps individuals be empowered to become a more effective partner in their healthcare and discover ways to increase public awareness of the disease.
The conference traditionally attracts more than 400 attendees and presenters. With the conference taking place in Baltimore, the National Scleroderma Foundation Mid-Atlantic Chapter, which represents Delaware, Maryland, southern and central New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington D.C., and West Virginia, will serve as the host chapter for the event.
The 2026 National Scleroderma Conference will be held July 17-19 at the Hilton Baltimore Inner Harbor in Baltimore, Maryland.
